# Set up products, sizes, prices, and add-ons

Open **File → Manage Price Lists…** to prepare the products you’ll use in Quick Order.

## How price lists work

Product and option names are shared across the catalog. Each named price list has its own availability, prices, and taxable settings. You can offer the same product at different prices in different lists. At least one active list must remain.

The editor has three tabs: Products, Item Add-ons, and Order Add-ons. In Quick Order, the Price List selector chooses which applied prices to use for new items.

## Products and sizes

On Products, enter clear **Product Type** and **Size / option** labels. Use names that make sense when you’re taking the order and when you’re making it.

Size / option is a label. It doesn’t set physical dimensions or control the crop. Check the framing separately for each print size.

## Prices and tax

A blank price means **Not set**. Zero means the item is free. Leave unfinished prices blank rather than entering zero.

Review **Taxable** for each item. A mixed state uses the older default, which is taxable; set it explicitly when you need a different result.

The studio tax rate is under **File → Settings… → Tax**. Existing sessions keep their own saved tax policy, so check the actual order after a change.

## Add-ons

**Item Add-ons** belong to an individual product, such as a finishing option. Check the availability, price, and tax setting, then try the add-on with the quantities you normally sell.

**Order Add-ons** apply to the whole order, such as shipping or a session fee. Check Order Review to make sure the charge appears once, where you expect.

You can use album or frame names as product labels, but they don’t create an album layout, frame preview, or room design.

## Apply your changes

Edits remain drafts until you choose **Save all changes**. New Quick Order items use the applied prices.

When closing the editor, **Save & Exit** keeps the changes and **Exit Without Saving** discards them. If you see a concurrent-change warning, close and reopen the editor as directed so you can review the latest version.

## Existing orders keep their prices

Changing the catalog doesn’t reprice items already in an order. Add a practice item to check the new pricing, and edit existing orders separately if they need a correction.

## Custom items and backups

You can save a reusable custom item from Quick Order to pricing drafts for the current list or all lists. Review those drafts in Price Lists, then apply them.

If you see **“Order saved; pricing draft not saved,”** check the order before trying again. The order item may already be there, even though the pricing draft wasn’t saved.

Export a pricing workbook before making substantial changes. You can export draft or applied pricing, so name the file to make that clear.
